Some stores opened at midnight. Others at 4 am. Some coaxed shoppers in with gifts and goodies. Me? I will sleep til 8, have my coffee and omelet. Then, I will turn on the computer and pick up a few things, just in time for leftovers. For those that have a gadget guy in mind, here are a few things to ponder …
The WIFI Detector Shirt. Just think. Instead of opening your laptop, all you need to do is walk around. The shirt signals when a WIFI reception is available. You will be the coolest guy in town. This shirt uses battery power glows the decal when a signal is nearby. You can even tell if the signal is 802.11 b or 802.11 g!!
How about a Chargepod? If you are like me, and who isn’t, you have a number of mobile gadets to charge. We have 3 cell phones, bluetooth headsets, Ipods and other MP3 players. Rather than have them scattered around the house in multiple outlets, this lets you organize your charging in an orderly fashion. This is a sweet deal for the gadget person in your life!
All I can say on this next one is … it’s about time. If you are like my wife, you snap a lot photos but take your time synching them to our computer. Then we have to upload to Snapfish. Now, we can bypass the computer. With Eye-FI, you know have a memory card for your camera that can wirelessly upload your pictures to Snapfish or Shutterfly or even Flickr. Pretty snazzy. $99 for a 2 GB card is pretty cheap.
